Campaign Branding
In collaboration with the main stakeholders, my role involved creating a consistent campaign brand identity design across all web, virtual reality, social, growth marketing, advertising, and visual marketing touch-points; concepting and driving our brand campaigns; building and evolving the brand identity. In addition to the overall branding, I designed and animated a series of social GIPHY stickers with the intent to be shared with our users on their instagram accounts. The objective was to create a fun & witty illustration that connects to theSkimm’s personal voice.
Campaign Web Destination & Photography Treatment
The Sleigh List campaign consisted of two web destinations, the first housing our overall gift guide hub. In collaboration with product design, the idea was to create a glamorous publication hub containing our curated gift guides through our Skimm Your Life vertical. In collaboration with product design, we created and user tested multiple design layouts to develop the most efficient shopping experience for our users.
While developing the campaign branding elements, we decided to create a glamorous A-list inspired product photoshoot. As a way to integrate the photography into the marketing materials, they have been masked into the main “S” icon within theSkimm’s logo system. The overall direction was for the products to stand out as our overall celebrity, while maintaining a light and warm holiday atmosphere.
Newsletter, organic Social & maid media marketing
For The Sleigh List holiday campaign, our goal was to bring theSkimm’s audience into a festive, digital-first shopping experience. We conceptualized a VR environment modeled after a Skimmified North Pole, drawing inspiration from the brand’s New York City roots.
I created multiple artboards and partnered with our vendor to produce the Bryant Park Virtual Village, blending nostalgia and innovation. In collaboration with Saks OFF 5TH, theSkimm curated a ChicSteals Chalet—a collection of 12 hand-picked gifts designed to simplify decision-making and save shoppers time and money.
To amplify awareness, I designed and animated a suite of video ads for Facebook and Instagram, produced in After Effects. Working with the growth marketing team, we implemented a creative strategy that drove strong engagement, increased page views, and boosted sales.
Virtual Shopping Experience
Our top picks come to life in a VR experience that’s meant to resemble a Skimmified North Pole. Our main objective from this top tier campaign is to help her shop smarter via situational, cost & curation levers. In this phase I created multiple artboards, as well as collaborated with the vendor to create the ultimate Skimm bryant park virtual experience. The idea was to create something unique and related to theSkimm’s connection to its beginnings in New York City.
In partnership with Saks OFF 5TH, theSkimm curated a selection of gifts at all price points in an effort to prevent decision fatigue and saveits audience the time and money they’d normally spend searching themselves. Together they built a custom augmented reality shop, helping Skimm’rs as they shopped online more and more. For the SaksOFF 5TH activation, theSkimm featured 12 unique items from their ‘ChicSteals Chalet’ shop, two items from which were the second and third most clicked-on items in the entire Virtual Village campaign.
